I had 1 1/4" while my parents who are roughly 6 miles due East of me had 5/8". In the low 70's here all day long and supposed to be low 60's tonight. A far cry from the high 90's 10 days ago.

It is amazing....yesterday, I had a north wind with decreased humidity.Felt like an early fall day. Tonight steam is rising off the pond. I do not think I have ever been happier to see fall approaching.I wonder if the main reason is I have a fall delivery of fishi coming. Was talking to my buddy from Tejas a bit ago, and decided we've had at least 7 inches of rain here in the last 2 weeks.
Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer.

Yesterday felt like a taste of the fall east of Pittsburgh.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Only a quarter inch of rain last night, but better than nothing. It got down to 60 over night. We had a big fish fry at our place on Friday night, and it was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, and no bugs!

Hey, last week it got cloudy and didn't break 95 all day. What a relief.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

A couple days last week with the lows in the low/mid 40's. 5.25" of rain this past Saturday. More rain and cold lows this week. Yep, fall is on it's way!
Also been having some really, really foggy mornings. Windshield wipers going and navigating by GPS. I mean, a hundred or so feet was it! Too bad my GPS wont tell me where the deer are going to come flying out of the woods. 17 miles of back roads that zig-zag, up, down and all around, and are heavily wooded until I hit a main road. I see numbers of deer every morning, and it is looking really good for hunting season. They look real healthy, and we have had an excellent growing season. Saw a few black bear also about 7 miles from here. Never seen one before, pretty cool!

Saturday I heard on the radio that we've had 12 consecutive days at or over 100 F. South of Houston Tx.
