Thanks Kelly. That's the way things are supposed to be dealt with, not via comittee.

Do you have any good pictures of it?

I don't know much about water celery, but are'nt most cool season grasses considered "invasive species", to the Americas? Just trying to put things into perspective.Along with the English Sparrow, the Starling, Lambsquarters, Clover. Or how about Korean Lespedeza, and multi-floral rose, which was promoted by MDC once upon a time etc. etc.? And in Texas, around my cousins ranch in the Utopia area, the Red Cedar? If one takes inventory, we are surrounded by invasives.

Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer.

There was an article in Nature a little while ago about all the money spent on inasive plant control, much of it without scientific merit. The point was not to judge all exotic plants the same, but to individually assess the likely consiquences of each accidental rintroduction and act proportionally. The professionals involved in decision making in this area have been trained to view each exotic introduction as the plague which is not supported by the evidence.

Water celery is extremely hardy and will grow in just about anything.

If at first you don't succeed...look in the trash for the directions.
