Hi all. I'm living on a small 10 acre lake here in SC. Looking to find info on weeds, big fish etc. We have channel cats, grass carp, large mouth bass, crappie, and blue gill. The lake hasn't been stocked in 15 years. The fishing is pretty good with bass around 10 pounds fairly common. Crappie I've caught so far are around 14".

The lake association president blindly stocked it this summer with bass, cats, and blue gill. Wouldn't even listen to the idea of us having a survey done. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Welcome Drexel. What specific questions do you have about the weeds and "big fish"?

Well if 10 pound bass are fairly common, something was done right... Whether accidentally or on purpose. Any photos of some of these bass? The forum loves photos! Photos of the lake itself and the weeds you're having problems with would be great too...

I'll post some info and requests in the appropriate forums.

How do I set my posts to email with reply notifications?
