Hi Mark,
I am 42 and have always wanted a pond of my own. Last summer I was able to construct a 12 acre lake about 150 yards from my front door! I live on a 70 acre farm, so the setting is perfect. I love to fish, so my goal is for great fishing. My dad loves to ice fish so a good panfish pop. is important to me. Huge bass are great too! I stocked bass, bluegill, yellow perch, redears, and channel cat along with lots of fatheads and shiners.
I started with the Southern Excellence fertilizer when the water temp hit 55 this spring. I used 3 buckets at first then 2 approx. every 30 days. This has maintained a good bloom for my pond. The stuff is easy to use and I replace the buckets about a week after they are empty. They last about 30 days. I am sure it helps the fish pop. as I have lots of shiner and bluegill fry that are doing well. The bass are chasing them with gusto! Thanks for asking.
