Is this Bur-reed?, it started growing in a corner of the pond last year and at first I thought it was cattail, this year it has those round spiky seed pods and looking thru plant photo's I think it's Bur-reed.

Looks like bur-reed to me. Do not know what else it could be. I planted it around my pond and 3 of my wetlands - good food for ducks.

Looks like it to me, as to which exact species it is... I am not that well versed. As I recall, there are several species of bur reed found in North America.

Thanks for the input guy's, the Bur-reed is in a small shallow area, I'll keep an eye on it.
