I buy my fertilizer a long way from home and I buy it early in the year so that I will have it on hand when the time is right. It is liquid fertilizer in 5gal. buckets. I think what I bought this year is left-over stuff from last year. When I used it, there was a lot of gooie stuff still in the bottom of the bucket. I didn't use all that I bought and plan to use some again next spring. What's the deal with liquid fertilizer that is 1-2 years old. Is it a problem or is it just as good as new ?

David, I don't know anything about the shelf life of fertilizer but don't think I would use it. As I posted elsewhere today, I'm in the process of a fish kill and the only thing I can trace it to is last years liquid AG fertilizer.
