My Moultrie leaked immediately after the first rain, which everybody said it would.
I used aluminum A/C tape on the seams, and haven't had any more problems.
I also have the 6.5 plastic feeder, but haven't used it yet.
It would be interesting to know what the difference is between the 6.5 gallon version and the "provide your own bucket" like I have. I bought a see-thru bucket with a very tight fitting cover for about $3 at either Lowes or Home Depot. It took me about 15 minutes to drill holes in the bucket and mount it to the Moultry unit. Mine has been very weatherproof except when a realy nasty storm pulled the feeder from the dock hook. It throws Aqua Max 500 and Lil' strike 25-30 feet.
