Thanks for posting, Ewest. While this looks like one of those potentially "doctored" photos, this one apparently is for real. An Idaho state biologist took the pictures and confirmed the fish weight (39 lb. 13 oz., 48 � inches long, 27 � inches in girth). It's also the 14 pound world line class record apparently. Do you think your LMB would overpopulate in a pond containing this fish?

Do you think your LMB would overpopulate in a pond containing this fish? With a few fish like that, none of the fish would likely be overpopulated.  That is one formerly well fed Pike.

Well, I don't know which of them actually caught the fish! Maybe he was confused and thought a state record pike would be as marketable as a world record LMB, and thus took a shower before his picture??

Hey, give him a break! I saw some guys with starched and pressed Columbia duds in photos at the PB conf. Do doubt they had never seen fish slime on them. :p

Now that's a fat bassturd.
For the life of me, I don't understand why anyone would want to have a pike in a pond for any reason. To me that would be the whole reason to have a pond completely private so you can eliminate the pike.
If you want to see a problem fishery, go to a lake with stunted pike, hammerhandles. What a waste of good water, and very hard to correct.
