Oh and speaking of spawning temps (wow that sounds like a good set up for a joke) anyway speaking of spawning temps, when we are discussing that a certain species begins spawning at a given water temperature how is the temperature measured - at the surface or at a given depth or an average between the two or what? (wish I could have thought of a good spawning temperature joke but my tax season fried brain ain't working so good right now - - need more coffee).
