I suppose it's because the BG's live in muddy water, eat a main course of mud, and eat mud for dessert. \:\)

I started feeding them about a week ago, so maybe they'll snap out it it. I think there should be insects in the pond in a week or 2.

Dave, you were right about feeding. It's addictive. My wife really likes to feed, and watch the FH minnows gorge themselves. I guess you really know your BG are in trouble when the FH intimadate them.

Oh, and my FH are gravid. I just hope there are sufficient spawning places.
