We too love bass from our pond. When filleted, skinned, and cut up and fried like you show them in your picture, we can't tell them apart from bluegill. Absolutely delicious.

We love the catfish too. We mostly take ours when they are 3-7 lbs., so they are much thicker fillets than we get from the small bass and the big bluegill. That gives them a different texture -- but still delicious.

We really aren't supposed to have tilapia in WV ponds (legal no-man's land), and we don't buy store-bought fish -- so no experience there.

Keep on culling.
