Why waste a good book...throw a full printing of the IRS Tax Codes at him....which would be heavier?...the paper or the truck hauling it????

Good luck throwing the tax code at him, some tax code trivia for you:
**********
Found on the internet: The Internal Revenue Code (or IRC; more formally, the Internal Revenue Code of 1986) is the domestic portion of Federal statutory tax law in the United States, published in various volumes of the United States Statutes at large, and separately as Title 26 of the United States Code (USC).
As of 2009:
Title 26 contains 20 Volumes.
All 20 volumes contain a total of 14,872 pages of tax code.
All 20 volumes weight in at a Hefty 35 Pounds 15oz
All 20 volumes will cost you $1,080.00
Lets put this into perspective....
Its over 24 times longer than the King James version of the Bible! (608 pages)
Over 11 times longer than War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. (1296 pages)
With out the covers all 20 volumes would be 59.5 inches or just about 5 feet thick!
If you lay the pages end to end it would be over 2.5 miles!
It would take the average reader 31 days of non stop reading to read all the tax code!
**********
My desk top federal income tax reference guide is just short of 900 pages. (My California desk top guide is 694 pages).
Also the numbers in the internet quote above do not include Revenue Procedures, Revenue Rulings, Private Letter Rulings, Technical Advice Memoranda, Chief Counsel Advice and Notices, IRS Audit guides and all of the various IRS publications that govern form preparation.
I read somewhere recently that if you include the afore mentioned items you would have a book that would contain over 70,000 pages. But this doesn't include tax court cases that are often used by myself and others in determining uncertain tax positions (and before you ask, uncertain tax positions are no where near as fun as they sound).
And you folks wonder why I have such a strange sense of humor.

While there is no doubt that Mr Curtis has been a less professional businessman, it is amazing the threshold that must be crossed to hold him accountable.

highflyer, hearing that nuisance go to jail is a heartening turn of events. I hope the judge will offer the full menu. He is a scourge to our noble profession.

Bob, I am very amazed at the level of professionalism of you and the members of this forum. The help I have received in these few short weeks is nothing short of outstanding. The level of professionalism is what I remember in the OLD days. You guys are the example I wish more people would follow. (Could you and a bunch of your friends from around the country run for congress, PLEASE!) LOL
Knowing that Mr. Curtis should be out of the business is a credit to the legal system with all of its checks and balances. I only hope he takes the time to reflect on his business sense and moves towards the correct side of the line. Unfortunately, I don't that will happen, but at least he will get that chance.
A handshake should mean more. Around here it still does, but I fear that for far too many, it does not. Maybe this is the first step in the right direction.
Bob, keep up the Great work, your mother would be proud. Sadly, I wonder how proud Mr Curtis' mother is after this case.
