Will trout reproduce in a pond?
The pond is around 55-60 degrees year round, spring fed.

There is only one species that has any documented occurrences of reproducing in a pond and that is a brook trout. Conditions must be ideal for them to reproduce in ponds. Other species like brown and rainbow trout need streams with moving water among a number of other variable to successfully to reproduce.

My cousin has a pond full of stocked brook trout and they have reproduced. His pond is ideal for reproduction. Lots of cold clean water and a gravel bottom. He was the reason why I stocked my pond!
