Phil, Mine is about 40 years old so maybe not the same senerio but I have seen some improvement over the years. I went from haveing only one or two big bass in the pond to a pretty good bit in the 2-3 lbs range and we have shocked up some decent ones. Back in feb. I was catching 10-15 nice bass every day on a rat-l-trap. Relative weights in 2007 were about 75% and went up to 82% in 2008 then the shad died and it went back to 80%. I would say right now they are at around 90% but I have caught a few of the bigger ones that were 110-115%. The main problem is with removing that many fish is after the first 100 lbs or so they get hook shy and its almost impossible to get them to bite. It probably wouldn't hurt to add some more 4-5" bluegull this year and then shad next year.
