My name is Lance. I live in Texas about 30 miles south of Dallas and my parents have 100 acres with a few ponds. Our largest is about 1-1.5 acres and was built by my grandpa probably 30-40 years ago. Currently stocked with Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Perch. The past few years the pond has not been fished much and by reading other post I have concluded that it may possibly be over populated. I guess to start with "managing" the pond I want to start pulling some fish from the pond, I would like to set up a feeder and maybe one day an aerator. Any advise or constructive criticism is always welcomed!

Welcome Lance! From the picture, the LMB seems to be in very good condition.

Do the other LMB seem to have big heads and skinny bodies? Look in the archives. There is a thread on relative weight, and also another thread on how to identify the different types of sunfish (BG, RES, GSF, etc.). Take a look at that one and let us know what type of sunfish you have in the pond. I know down there "perch" is what they're called, but in the rest of the country that usually means Yellow Perch. That will help us with your questions.
