I have put together a system similar to RC51's. I have a shed close to the pond that I am going to keep the compressor in. What is the easiest way to plumb to the pond. I saw someone used garden hose. Is that better or easier than pvc?

How far away is your shed? Garden hose would work, I have a 1/2 inch heater hose about 2 feet long then I go into plastic flex tubing for about 12 feet then I go into 5/8 inch ID 75 feet of weighted hose from there. You could use a garden hose though and just adapt it to the weighted hose from there. The weighted hose is a must it's awesome!! And makes life easy. There are a few guys here though that live in Indiana and might be able to give you a better suggestion to use for the type of weather you have up there. I already have the weighted hose. The shed is about 40 ft. from the pond. I have 2 diffuser stations that I was going to put in opposite ends of the pond. I made a manifold so I can shut either one off if I want. I think garden hose will be the best. I plan on burying it from the shed to the pond.

If you use garden hose make sure you use either 5/8" or 3/4" hose. Larger I.D. means less restriction for the compressor, = less heat which = longer compressor life.

Personally, I'd use the black flexible poly hose like they use for drip irrigation systems, only 5/8" I.D. insted of 1/2" that is sold in the big box stores around here.
