Just getting started on the new house. I'm doing some of the work myself but most of it will be done by a local guy. I started clearing the spot. I'll get better pics of the view to the pond in the next few weeks when I get some of the trees cleared out. I'm trying to keep all the big ones. It will be a 50' x 100' metal building. Half of that will be barn/storage for my toys and a corner for my gun/reloading room. The other half will be the house. It will have a 12' wide deck accross the backside . The new site is on a hill overlooking the big pond.

I don't know much about running a dozer as you can see but I'll get it. I was just "trying" this one.It turned out to be a little bit small for what I need so I'm still looking for a bigger one. I'm in no hurry. My ranch has an old rock house on it that works for weekend stays. It was built in 1902 but has had some improvements done over the years.

Excellent Cisco.

How about some photo of the exterior of the 1902 rock house.

Keep updating this thread, we love following projects!

Here's a couple of the old house. It's not much but it is warm and dry.

Snow from a couple of years ago. Christmas Eve I think.

Sounds like a lot of fun. And, it's raining.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Me too. An old rock ranch house with a metal roof. Satellite dishes sure look out of place.

I could do without the TV but the wifey can't. One thing I learned about the old rock house, if it's 100 degrees outside, it stays about 85 inside and if it's 30 outside, when you get it warmed up inside, it doesn't take much to keep it that way. Except for all the drafts coming the windows and doors. It's a really neat place. Rooms have been added over the years like a bathroom and extra bedroom. Tell somebody in town you live at the rock house and they know exactly where you are.
