Sight feeding is inhibited but the fish can handle as long as it clears up within week or two. Actually they can handle turbid water but it's not optimum for feeding and fast growth. The down side is you're bringing in silt and possibly nutrients that could fire up algae and macrophytes.

It's always a battle with new ponds. Been there done that. We me I was always a step behind nature no matter how fast I moved.

You're only about 20 miles from me in Shipsi. Normally I'd say I'd love to meet you and give you a tour, but with a bad chest cold virus I'm not sure that would be a good idea for you.
