I just had to beg and plead to get a continuance for a felony prelim I have next Tuesday I hope the poor b@$t@rd wasn't in custody the whole time while you were soaking up the sun!

Good point, my friend! Actually, I ended up at the farm late yesterday and planted my fruit trees, raked a ton of FA out of the small pond, and mowed for a couple of hours, so some ibuprofen this morning would have been nice!

I sure wish I could have gone, but the wife's job usually requires overtime and Saturday's until tax season is over. I knew better than to book it and, sure enough, sitting at home with a sick kid while she is working; so tomorrow I am going looking for a place a lot closer to home than the current one  . I am still kicking myself for not going to the last one held here in DFW. Maybe next year I will get to go.

Well, I can't necessarily agree there were many looking forward to meeting me, but for the 2 or 3 who may fall into that category, just set up a schedule and I'll start booking airline tix! I really do appreciate the sentiment, Josh. I was really looking forward to putting faces with names and am just sick that it's going to have to happen another time. Maybe next time we can all be there! You know, the year the world's supposed to end.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Tell me about it. Glad to hear you managed to get your case postponed - doing that in a felony prelim can sometimes be a very difficult thing. I thought lawyers postponed trials all the the time Todd!
