No, not flying unfortunately. We sold the plane just a few weeks ago, so I'm relegated to living like the other half and making the trip by car!
I'm trying to figure out the route myself, and was looking at the path Google maps laid out for me. It was the route through Louisville and St. Louis, but seeing your post makes me think that another direction might be better. I'm planning to leave Wednesday some time and drive till fairly late then grab a hotel along the way and finish up Thursday.
Thoughts on travel plans?
Todd -- sorry to hear you don't have the plane anymore. When you get to this side of the mountain, I've got lots of friends with interesting planes.
As for the route -- I-79 to I-64 is supposed to be slightly shorter and somewhat faster, but it sure doesn't seem that way. Starting at Huntington, you have to go through a lot of congestion. It doesn't seem to get any better through the cities in Kentucky. I-70 seems to have much better by-passes around the big cities in Ohio and Indianapolis. From our experience, no matter what the GPS or Google says, it seems to be an hour shorter going I-70 vs., I-79/I-64 to St. Louis. But, then again, you are south of Morgantown, and we will be passing just to the north. It may not make much difference for you.
