I messed around too bc i am a DIY'er to the max. Would be like a fish out of water if didn't try to build everything i can myself. Got it from my dad. I got a Thomas 1/3hp rocking piston pump off ebay and enjoy experimenting with different diffusers and hoses. This year I plan to add a soaker hose to aerate in the shallow end of my pond. My pond is 45 years old, bit over 1 acre /11 feet deep when full, and leaks. It was neglected until we bought it 2 years ago and it had much muck on the bottom in the deep end . After one year of a smaller aerator and a second year of this bigger one, i cannot feel near as much muck when probing from a boat. I'm sure the 60 lbs of tilapia planted last year helped too.
