FFF, I am an all tackle angler and love Tiny Torpedos - crank it fast and stop it at the stump and - BANGO!!! - but don't know how to make it back up.
What I do in situations such as you describe is to throw a big rear weighted type fly at them - you can keep flies in the stike zone longer than lures and a rear weighted fly will back up on the fall.
