Agreed...but I'm still convinced that the yo-yo ing torpedo would kill in certain situations when the dead stick just lays there dying.
There is always the "flying lure" if you need Macgyver something to yo-yo in their face, no batteries required. BTDT
Dead sticking works but it's just not a lot of fun to let it sit there for a minute or two, move it six inches, then let it sit for another minute or two before moving it again, but dead sticking will catch LMB when nothing else will.
