pebaugh, sounds like your pond set-up does well with trout, why do you want to add LMB?
How about SMB, they might do better in your cool pond.
I also wonder how well HBG will do in the colder climate compared to a good breed of BG, other people have experience with them hopefully they will weigh in.
Also you might consider adding GSH.
