That water looks toasty for wading out to the barge.

I was on a fishing site today where fishing has been postponed on two large reservoirs in Massachusetts for at least a week. Apparently it's a late ice out there.

Dwight,

Is this later than usual for you or not? I apologize if you already covered that.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Spring has sprung.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I put a new Optima Blue Top battery in the Barge today so you know I am getting ready for action! There are 2 Blue Tops in there. You do understand that I hate to run out of power? wink

I think I've guessed that about you! Good characteristic to possess!

I am not so sure about the saving money part! smile

After a night of very strong northwest winds the ice pack is really really losing the battle.

The last week of March - first week of April is the normal time for the ice to be gone (going back to 2000).

7.5 hours from this mornings photo shot and after 30-40+ winds continued all day deicing is complete. smile

Strong winds blew the remnants of the ice up on the bank. Six of my winter PVC markers washed up in this area making for easy pickup.
