Check out the free articles I rewrote from Bob's Word Docs to html for the website. I could have sworn I retyped an article by Lusk going A to Z on turbidity - causes and solutions. IIRC if you have turbidity it's likely caused by suspended clay particles as you have an ionic imbalance in your water. Either Alum or Gypsom will bind with those particles causing them to become heavier and sink to the bottom, improving your visibility. I hope I have that somewhat correct.
