Being cold is one thing, but the windchill is the nasty part of cold.

The latest computer model from the local weather station put's us at 12.4". Just a bit north of here it is drastically reduced. I hope it blows south of here! The model puts Grand Rapids at 18". I like the way he said "we toned it down a bit" eek eek South of GR, it looks bleak.

To be on the safe side, I better go fill up the tractor in the morning. 12" will be a long day of pushing and piling up snow.


I just made sure the snowblower will fire up and went into town and picked up almost 5 gallons of fresh gasoline and more 2 cycle oil to mix with it. My neighbor usually plows my driveway with a mower/snow blade but this may be just too much for him. grin The last time we got about 15 inches and drifting my drive wasn't easily found with 7 feet of snow drifted over it!
