I usually recommend buying the dealership, not the vehicle. Lots of sorry ones out there, and a good one can be worth a lot. Almost all of the new model trucks will have similar reliability and mileage comes down to what you want to do with it. They try to match each others power and mileage. I like the new Fords, but never buy a first year anything. Let someone else be a guinea pig. I also try not to buy new since the second that truck leaves the lot it takes a huge hit. Training auto sales management for the past three years showed me it was pretty easy to find an almost new truck, like a 1 year old less than 10k miles. Kind of funny that my '89 F250 diesel gets 18mpg with a fuel leak and the guy down the street with a '94 F250 diesel turbo idi with open exhaust gets 23mpg and they still cannot beat it, more POWER
