rt014, I second esshups'advice. Would add that the shortest length of rigid suction hose that will do the job makes priming easier. I would also recommend getting a brass foot-valve for the suction hose. If ease of use is more important than spending a little more money, then quick connects sure make removing the hoses a lot easier. I have a small, 1" 2-cycle & a 2" Honda trash pump that have quick connects & they are time savers..du
