That'd work. Any collapsible hose has to be on the discharge side, not the suction side - meaning the downhill side of the pipe.
Good to know....So I can't use a fire hose for both the suction (in pond side) as well as the discharge side? If that's the case I'll have to rethink this. Then I'd need some type of non collapsible hose that I can connect to the fire hose (unless of course I use a trash pump...which was my original idea).
