Greetings everyone! I'm in the throes of finishing the Pond Boss IV Conference and Expo program.
I'm looking for suggestions...both subject matter and speakers. Throw them out right here. This is your chance to influence decisions.
Who would you like to see and hear?
What are some creative topics that would help you be better stewards of your land and water?
Teach a man to grow fish... He can teach to catch fish...

Let me know if you need help with anything again this year. I know I would like to hear about new products and toys. I also would be interested in stuff about wildlife and land management.

Weed control in ponds, but specifically how/what to do to help control the resulting algae growth once you remove weeds that are utilizing the nutrients. i.e. how to combat the increased available nutrients.
Something on what to do with the shoreline on groundwater ponds that vary in depth during the year that is aesthetically pleasing. Specifically, what to do with the shoreline that is exposed when the water receeds in late Summer/Fall.

BK, these gatherings are a great time, and enjoying the forum is so much more enhanced after attending the meeting.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Great subject. This is the important, "The rest of the story". Something will feed on the nutrients that are available. Getting rid of FA just to see DW or something else take over isn't much fun. With the Feb 14th deadline bearing down on us for the early registration discount I had a question regarding the meals section of the registration form. Like last conference the other half was planning on tagging along so she can abuse my credit cards at the outlet malls while I nerd out on fish stuff. Last time I snuck her into the the poolside icebreaker even though she didn't have one of those ticket stubs they give you for meals/extra events. This year there is a Friday banquet also included with the attendance price. If you want to include a spouse who isn't attending the conference do you just mark down 2 in the banquet box on the form? How do we pay for the extra meal if it is one lump sum?

This will be my first time to go to the convention and I am chomping at the bit. I would like to hear about algae control and maybe benificial organisms on the bottom of the pond and more technical stuff about aeration.

One very beneficial thing about the PB Conv. is the ability to talk to the experts one-on-one with your questions. You can even ask several the same question for all the ideas. You can come by the Mods. booth and watch the slide show and videos and ask questions. There will be some freebies also.

All ideas are probably taken, but I would suggest something on floating docks. I choose floaters bc my pond leaks.
Wish I could come but ball and chained to work. When I sell my biz I will be at the next conference for sure.
