I wish someone would have told me this post was going one. Over 4 years later I see it. smile Good read however and funny at times. smile

We don't raise the shrimp on our property or even by our town...we harvest out of native clean ponds in central MN. Most of these ponds DO have fish in them and therefore are also deeper ponds so not to winter-kill. I have never measured the water temp during the summer but I would guess it gets to 70F for sure or even up to 80F at times...just our normal lake temps during the summer around here. Vegetation consists of Ceratophyllum, Myriophyllum, Potamogeton, Utricularia, etc...just our usual normal pond weeds we have.

Most of what we harvest is G. lacustris...but we can get some H. azteca in there since they are very common in our ponds as well.

Let me know if any questions and shoot me an email to let me know if there is a post I should respond [email protected]
