Well, read an article (had to pay 1.99 just to get access to it) in the Paris, Texas newspaper that they are getting ready to extend their Rails to Trails a couple of towns further to the one just down the road from me: Blossom. They basically turn the rail into a trail and pull out any gates that block access, which in reality just opens them to locals on 4-wheelers and illegal dumpers

I have started cutting a road further down my property line so I can plant a nice, dense grove of hedge along the line of the trail to deter jumping the fence to fish my pond. Hopefully, I have a jump on things and the hedge will be a good 4-5+ years old before they get around to building it next to me. I need to replace or repair the fence on that line, also. I have trespassing fishermen now, but can't imagine what will happen when they can practically pull right up to the pond. Anybody else ever have to change their entry point and block the old? Thinking of piling brush for now at the gate and dumping some scoops of brambles from another area I need to get them out of. Sadly, a lot of this work will also block some of the easiest areas for my wife to get access in her wheelchair
