It sounds like yellow perch might be a good fit for your pond, they are active year round, taste great, and can take extremes in water temps and oxygen levels.
Also if you want to add structure to the pond this would be a great time to get Christmas trees. I would still suggest adding your forage minnows first and giving them a chance to spawn this summer before stocking your predators.
