I have had beaver before, but they left when they could not figure out how to plug my overflow pipe. Now a smart one has been real busy pushing dirt up to the dam to plug the pipe which used to be 8' from shore in 5-6 feet of water.

Jeff, see if you can find a run and place some traps. If that doesn't work, I think I would set fire to the den. I would destroy it some way.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thanks for the offer Chris. I will be out there tomorrow and look for runs and signs it is there. Dave, I like bonfires but I also know someone who likes to target practice with tannerite who might like to take on the den .

That sounds like fun.

Have you seen the beaver on the move? Know it's schedule?

I took a good look around this morning and it looks like it may have left. Nothing chewed on, only one possible run, got up close to the den and no new material around it. I think I will get rid of the den and keep an eye out during hunting season since I will be there early and late in the day. I am usually there 10-3(2.5 hour drive) which is not prime wildlife time.
