My 1/4 acre pond has visibility of about 12 inches. Water does not appear to be muddy as the water has an emerald/olive green tint to it. Clarity has been like this since I started playing around with the pond in April. I suspect that the color is most likely due to a bloom. Is there any way to help increase clarity or is this clarity a good thing? I would really like to be able to actually see the fish. Currently there are Bluegill, Golden Shiners, Largemouth, Green Sunfish, Bullheads, Tilapia, and Gambusia Minnows. All fish that I have caught appear to be a nice healthy weight and have good coloration. I appreciate any input or advise. Thank you.

Water dries, rocks crumble, and trees die. The only thing that is eternal is the reputation we leave behind.

depends on your goals ezylman. if you want fat fish, my advice is to promote the emerald "murky" water....good food chain base there.
