Hello
Name is John. Nickname is cow-man or cpt cow-man. I have a 18 acre lake built by mining sand and gravel over the past 25 years. Only management has been stocking with the wildlife deparmtments new pond "kit" years ago. Seems to have a healty population of LMB spots catfish and some crappie. I only started fishing it this past year. Quickly learned I had a problem with it being a local fishing hole and so had to be ugly and run out the locals. Depth ranges from 2 ft to 10 feet. It's close to a tailrace or dam discharge and gets water infiltration thru the gound this way. My goal for the future is to manage for trophy bass and possible pay to fish for minimum numbers of people with a large per day price. I've been a subscriber to the magazine off and on for several years. New to the online site and forums.

Welcome John! There is a publication that PB sells called "Raising Trophy Bass". In addition to asking questions here, you might want to purchase it to have a handy reference.
The BOW sure sounds large enough to do what you want to do.
