I caught this one out of my lake yesterday 10/20/2010. He was a little thin but healthy. John

Nice. How big is your lake? I see you have a real boat there.

Real crappie!
Just kidding! Those are huge crappie, and congrats on such a nice sized lake.

Nice fish. That LMB doesn't look particularly skinny to me, perhaps it is just the angle.

Yeah, that LMB looks good to me, but those crappies are huge.

Thanks for the comments. The bass wasn't real skinny, it just didn't have a gut on it like most of my bass. I guess when you are that big, it takes quite a bit to get a gut. I didn't measure the length, I wanted to get him back in the lake before he stressed too much. It was really nice to see a fish that large. I have really enjoyed this site, so many knowledgeable and nice people. John

Which shad species? Threadfin, gizzard or both?

I think I only have threadfin shad. I also have some carp. There were some grass carp stocked about 12 years ago, but I have not gotten close enough to see if these are common or grass. I think there are some that are too small to be that old of grass carp. John

KingRace78, he meant no offense. He was teasing you a bit since you signed all your posts "John" is all.
We tend to joke around often here as I'm sure you'll see. Again, welcome to the forum.

I'm not quite sure what hang loose meant, but I am certain it's all good.
