Get yourself a SOLID forage base established firstly. FHM, GSH, BG, etc. Wait until you can just about walk on top of them and stock your LMB. Aeration would help your biomass too, I believe, along with obtaining feed trained fish as Nate suggested. As a rule, fewer LMB, more forage will equate to at least the potential for a trophy LMB pond.
