essup the pond in the picture is only about 11 ft deep it has a solid rock bottom i dont think u could drive a nail in the bottom anywhere. it cored good but when we moved upstream we hit a rock shelf that began at about the front toe. we had to make the pond wider and wider in the upper end to get enough dirt the one we just started will be about 15 ft deep. with 10 or more acres being 4 to 6 ft deep. its targeted for ducks but should make a nice fishing pond also. there is a major creek very close thats why i'm not making it any deeper. dont want to find any sand if i can keep from it
