Sorry, my previous post was off topic and apparantly confusing. I am not indicating you will catch bass with cut bait at night. I agree that is a great way to catch catfish while minimizing LMB casualties.
Your 'dormant' statement made it sound like perhaps you have never fished for bass at night so I thought you may want to try it sometime. Perhaps you are an expert night bass fisherman and I appologize if I am insulting your intelligence. I just get excited when I think about fishing for LMB at night. Everyone should try it.
