We've had a touch of cooler weather and the algae in our larger pond has reduced to almost nothing. Our second pond which gets fed by the larger pond has yet to have any. I suspect, after reading up on it (especially about filtering the inflow with holding pools and plants), that the larger pond acts as a filter(?).
