Hey guys, new memeber here. I have a BS in wildlife and fisheries sciences from Texas A&M, with an Aquaculture option. I don't manage full time, I'm in the oilfield, but do it on the side for friends. We just bought in to a 250 acre private lake south of Houston, and I'm sure I will start helping out quite a bit with the management on that. Just wanted to say hello.

yeah i know 250 acres is a handful.....
i've done 2 different 75 acre lakes before, and several smaller ones, but this will be the biggest one so far. but its good, because we are part owners of it.

I'm planning a visit to Turner Lakes next Monday, in case you're in the neighborhood. You'll have to tell me about your new lake-acquisition sometime.

Blake...welcome from a fellow Texan. I live in Dallas & have a place near near Mineola, Texas. If you ever have time post some pictures of your lake.

You'll have to tell me about your new lake-acquisition sometime. i'll be out of town until at least the 25th. we've been out to turner a couple times this year. they are LOW. and the water well is so sanded in, it can't keep up. i've all but given up with that place, its pointless to bother when they let a lake that shallow get low like that. what they really need to do is keep just one full and dig the other one out. i've been telling them that for years, but no one seems to listen... i think you probably know our new lake, it's not too far from there.

Welcome Blake. Any friend of Kelly's..........
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
