Thanks teehjaeh57. I just bought the lot in Feb 2010, but I am told the water level is pretty stable. I was out there last weekend in the middle of the Texas summer and the lake was looking full. I don't think there will be much swimming. Most east Texas lakes over ten acres can eventually have a gator find their way to them. They tell me this lake is only 4-5 years old and doesn't have any gators....YET. Many people don't realize it but many of the large recreational lakes around Dallas you find people water-ski-ing and on Jet Skis contain gators, but the gators stay way back in the sloughs of lakes so they rarely are seen by people. Thanks again...sounds like a fixed dock may be the way to go.
