The first time I held my daughter, Van Morrison's "Brown-Eyed Girl" played on the radio in the hospital room. I looked at her eyes, dark grey at the time, and knew they would turn a beautiful brown just like her brother's had 4 years before. I never much liked the song before that, but it has had a special meaning to me ever since then.
