I have access to a 36 Cubic feet Chest freezer that went bad but it's still sealed and water tight. Would there be any reason I couldn't or shouldn't use this for raising Shiners ?

The dimensions are 6' L x 2' W x 3' D , I estimate it will hold about 280 gallons.
