Hey all,

I made a 3 way diffuser station out of 1/2 inch PVC. Will this work with 3, 9 inch diffusers? Or should I have made my pvc pipe smalller to increase pressure? The diffusers I got say they will work from .5 to 5 cfm. Or will all my air go to 1 diffuser and not the other 2? Will the membranes on the diffuser allow enough back pressure for the air to go to the next diffuser? I am only pushing about 5 psi max out of my pump and 7 cfm at 200 LPM.

Thanks for any help. Here is the setup but it's of course not finished yet. And I will test it in a couple of feet of water first just to see what happens. It will be on 75 feet of 5/8 hose.

Ok let me break it down a little in case I didn't say something right which could be possible that's for sure!! smile

The above picture will have 3, 9 inch diffusers on it that range from .5 to 5 CFM.

My pump you ask? An Ecoplus 7 linear air pump. Max psi 5.1 Max CFM 7 and 200 LPM.

Half inch outlet port on the pump running 75 feet of 5/8 ID weighted tubing from Ted at Forever Green. Thanks Ted by the way! Awesome hose and a great price!

Question do you think my pump will work with above picture with 3 diffusers or will 3 be too much for the pump? I am putting it at about 7 feet. The above design is using 1/2 inch pvc with 3/4 inch elbows. If no one can give me an answer I guess I will give you all one when I am done setting it up on Saturday!! I am going for it! And yes I have read every post on startup procedures so I will take it easy at first.

Try airing it up on shore and take a pressure reading, then figure approx another 3-4 psi on top of that when installed. You have to factor tubing length and how much the resistance the membranes have.If these discs have flow control they should flow equal if not the station will have to be perfectly level or the air will go the least path (the higher disc)
