Joe,
There are a few bears around. I have not seen any this year, but there are signs they are here. Many large rocks turned over, insect infested logs riped up, and the best sign, honey comb in bear poop. I have a picture I took of a big guy last year. He was almost 6 feet from nose to tail. I do hunt, but not the bear. I enjoy having them around.
