Something is Eating my fish... well 1/2 of it?

This is the 4th fish I have found in about a month. One was a tilapia, a 10" LMB, and now the 2nd BG. All were about half eaten. My first guess was something caused them to die and then the turtles were eating them but the turtles would have to work quickly because I was out there until dark Sunday night and didn't see any sick/dying fish and by Monday around 3:00 I found this half eaten BG. I dont have many turtles, maybe 3 red ear 4-6" across the shell. My pond is in my back yard and I haven't seen any predators like otters, or gators. Any ideas? Could it be a big CC?

Ummm?? That looks like an aweful clean cut to be a CC or a turtle?? Looks more like something chopped it in half instead of something chewing on it?? Maybe you have a large snapper and you don't know it yet? I doubt a snapper would catch a healthy fish though? I don't know bud wish I coud help more. That does seem odd though?

LOL... I know what you thinking, It almost looks like I have a poacher. From the pic it does look like a clean cut but it wasn't as clean as the pic idicates. The others weren't as clean cut as this one either. Thanks for the feedback.

Was it just the head's that were left, about the same amount left over? Could you look around the head to see if you can see a puncture wound, possibly by a large circle hook? I see a lot of these floating around public lakes where catfisherman like to use cutbait.

The others had about 3/4 of thier body. The LMB was missing its stomach up to the lateral stripe and about half of his tail.

Turtle or gator? Are there otters in Baytown?
