I saw the thing on Fox News Channel...I wonder how far it was caught from the last record fish that died in transport to Cabela's KC a couple years ago....

That's a big blue cat! To think back in the 1800's they were consistently catching blue cats that big out of the Mississippi. There were solid reports of blue cats over 300 pounds!

If my fish grow from 4 to 6 lbs just over the course of a few days I wonder how much a fish would grow from 1800 to 2010? Can anyone crunch those numbers?

Do you guys think that we may start seeing a lot more large blue cats being caught in the future? It seems that with the explosion of the asian carp population, the blue cats may have an endless food supply, and it may be possible.

Nate, if your fish grew 2 pounds every 3 days for 210 years, that little porker would be a robust and quite chubby 51,135 pounds - approximately.
Just do it...

Did they keep the fish? It didn't look alive.
I wonder if it was getting fat on Asian Carp.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
